TASBEP Story, Mission and Vision

The Theological Association for Sustainable Belief, Education and Practice (TASBEP) began as a small Bible study and reading group, created to provide a space for Christians to read Scripture together, deepen their biblical understanding, and reflect on matters of faith and Christian practice. Through regular engagement, the group gradually recognised the need for deeper theological reflection and broader conversations on the challenges facing the Church and society.

This development led to the vision of establishing a wider scholarly platform that brings together theological reflection, biblical studies, ethical ministry, interdisciplinary dialogue, and contextual engagement. TASBEP therefore seeks to build upon its foundation as a Bible study and reading community by promoting contextual theological interaction, intellectual development, sound biblical understanding, and informed Christian responses to contemporary African realities. Through dialogue, seminars, research, education, and collaborative activities, TASBEP aims to connect Christian belief with responsible and sustainable practice in the Church and society.

To promote sound biblical theology, theological scholarship, ministerial excellence, and ethical Christian practice by providing an inclusive platform for research, dialogue, education, public engagement, and sensitisation. The Association seeks to equip the Church and society with biblically grounded responses to contemporary issues while fostering sustainable Christian beliefs and practices that contribute to contextual and holistic transformation.
